Baby E Newborn Session

Fresh 48 Newborn Session Krystal Healy Photography

Last October, I had such a wonderful time with the Lindenbaum family during a Fresh 48 Newborn session at the West Penn Hospital Maternity Ward in Pittsburgh, PA.  Little Baby E was such a precious newborn and I’m so glad I got to be there to capture some of the first moments of his life!

This family has a very special place in my heart.  Kayla is my cousin! Mike is also my husband’s best friend.  Needless to say, we are in it for life with these guys. So, when we heard about Baby E coming to join us, we were so excited!

I knew I wanted to go in for a “Fresh 48” photo session with them as soon as I heard they were pregnant.  I had a Fresh 48 with both of my babies and they are by far some of my very favorite shots of my kids! With the right photographer — ahem — a Fresh 48 photo session will never disappoint.

Baby E smiled at me SEVERAL times during his newborn shoot and just had my heart melting!  He was literally the perfect little baby model. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a happy one day old baby.  I can’t wait to photograph him as he grows up, I just hope he doesn’t grow up too fast!

Kayla, Mike and Baby E, I’m so happy all three of you are finally together!  Baby E, you’re coming into such a wonderful family and I can’t wait to see all of the amazing thing you do.  Cheers, you beautiful family!

Fresh 48 sessions are very special.  After the final push, all you want to do it relax as much as you can and hang out with your new precious little light who you’ve been waiting 9 months to see.  But being this vulnerable and connected with your little one over their first 48 hours of life on the outside can give such happy memories. One of my many joys as a photographer is taking these memories in the making and capturing them on film!

If you’re expecting, please don’t hesitate to get in touch [link to: https://ift.tt/38dIBwo] with me!  We can get you a Fresh 48 session scheduled in no time.  The first couple days with your newborn can be a whirlwind.  Trust me, I’ve been there. But in all of the chaos, it’s still just you and your baby — this little miracle that YOU created.  I would absolutely love to be there to capture that memory of you and your new little addition to the family on film.

Michelle and Chad’s Phipps Conservatory Wedding

Phipps Conservatory Wedding Krystal Healy Photography

Michelle and Chad were married on November 11 with an amazing Phipps Conservatory wedding. It was such a pleasure to be their wedding photographer and these two had me teary-eyed for their entire wedding day. For the best reasons, of course!

I was referred over to these two by a former couple. (Heyyy, Melinda & Carlos! [link to https://ift.tt/2YZpW3u ]) Melinda was even one of the Maids of honor. Of course, it took her reminding me who she was before I realized!

What can I say?

People look a lot different when they aren’t in a wedding gown! And, I’ll admit, I was so focused on Michelle that it took me a second to recognize Melinda. Overall, it was SO nice to have that extra support from a previous bride. I think it helped to get some really great photos with Michelle and Chad because they already knew my wedding photography style and how I work! It also helps that spent time together at their engagement session. Even though Chad was busting me because it was an EARRRLY sunrise session I made him wake up for LOL. It was all worth it though, right, Chad??

Their wedding day was filled with so many emotional, beautiful moments. Chad’s daughter was a bridesmaid – and to see the look on his face when he first saw his little girl made me lose it. It was SO sweet. As a parent, that emotion totally resonated me. They grow up SO fast. And then, when he first saw Michelle walking down the aisle to marry him? Well, let’s just say there was not a dry eye in the house. It was all so sentimental. I loved being able to capture it! Days like this, moments like this, they remind me why I love being a wedding photographer. Their Phipps Conservatory ceremony was unforgettable.

I asked Michelle and Chad if they had advice for other Pittsburgh couples planning a wedding. They shared that it is important not to be afraid to ask for help. They also shared that the Pittsburgh Bridal Flea Market was an amazing resource for anyone planning a Pittsburgh wedding.

Michelle and Chad, you were such a great, fun-loving couple. I am so happy I was a part of your wedding. Thank you for trusting me to capture your memories! I hope you have an amazing time on your cruise to Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel!

What a great adventure to start your life as husband and wife! Congratulations!

Thank you to their Pennsylvania Wedding Vendors

Michael and Kim – The Stables at Connoquenessing

The Stables at Connoquenessing Wedding Krystal Healy Photography

Kim and Michael were married in a gorgeous fall wedding on October 20 with a ceremony at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church and a reception at The Stables at Connoquenessing in Renfrew, PA.

Kim and Michael’s Stables at Connoquenessing Wedding

I met this amazing couple through my best friend Addie! Addie married into Mike’s family, so I’ve known him for over five years now. I was THRILLED when Kim and Mike reached out to me about being their wedding photographer. Addie’s daughter, Kate, was one of the flower girls, so it was extra special for me on a personal level! I knew a lot of the faces at the wedding!

When it was time to propose, Mike made three signs for each of Kim’s niece and nephews to hold. The signs read, “Kimberly Ann, will you marry me?” The question mark was on her littlest nephew’s shirt. When she walked in the door, she was greeted with these signs. Then, upon turning around, there was Mike down on one knee. He proposed in Kim’s parent’s house with her entire family and his sister present. He could not have planned the proposal any better. He knows how much family means to Kim. It meant the world to her that her family was there for such an important occasion.

That commitment to family and to each other was present all throughout their wedding day. It was wonderful to see how happy these two were to be married, but what was truly beautiful was how everyone came to celebrate their love. From the moment Kim got into her stunning bridal gown until the very last photographs of the evening, it was nothing but joy.

I asked Mike and Kim what advice they had for other couples who were also planning weddings and they shared that the most important thing was to find your ceremony venue and reception venue early. They found that finding the right venue was one of the most difficult parts of the process. But I am so glad that they chose the Stables at Connoquenessing! This rustic Pennsylvania wedding venue was infused with rustic elegance and nostalgic charm. It was a perfect backdrop for their autumn wedding.

Mike and Kim, I am just so happy for you both. Thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer! Being a part of your October wedding was such a treat for me. Thanks also to Lizzy, my associate photographer and second shooter for helping me capture their wedding photography!
